La Petite Daycare opened in 2014 with the goal to have small classes with lots of individual attention and care. La Petite Daycare will provide a stimulating and safe environment for children ages 0 - 2 years. Currently using Practica stimulation, Brainy Baby and Skidz we thrive in only the best care and stimulation.

Our Activities

Brainy babies

Weekly stimulation classes

The program is based on early childhood development with occupational therapy integration. Brainy babies focus is placed on the whole brain development which stimulates a baby in the best possible way.
The classes consists of 45 minutes, once a week.
A class includes 5-7 activities which are made up of the following:

Messy Play
Gross and Fine motor skills
Baby Gym/Exercise
Sensory development
Music development
Introduction to colours and sounds
Introduction to art (Edible finger paint ect)

Practica and Skidz

Practica

Practica is a completely comprehensive programme, which offers parents more than 4000 age-appropriate games and activities to play with their child from birth to 7 years old. These games focus specifically on the balanced development of all 50 the skills needed for school readiness. The programme is available in English and Afrikaans. Practica develops all the areas of development simultaneously. These areas include:

Skids

"We are passionate about early childhood development and so offer support to parents in this regard. We have worked together with different experts in early childhood development and have done all the research needed so that you can help your child reach his / her milestones while having fun. The SKidZ Clever Activity Boxes is an at home stimulation program and has been divided into 5 sets to make it more affordable. It comes with an easy to follow manual and the equipment needed to do the activities."

More Details

We have divided class rooms for babies and toddlers.
We use wooden cots for our smaller babies and camping cots for the older babies.
We use our own bedding and we put new bedding on our cots every second day.
